What Is an Asbestos Management Survey?

An Asbestos Management Survey is the standard survey required for the ongoing occupation and management of a building. The purpose of the survey is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) that could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, maintenance or installation work.

Management Surveys are undertaken in accordance with HSE guidance HSG264 and are designed to help duty holders meet their legal obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
